Hundreds of larger-than-life lanterns showcase the beauty and artistry of Chinese culture in this authentic multi-cultural experience that's become a popular holiday tradition for North Carolina families.
Event Details
Cary’s Booth Amphitheatre has transformed into a magnificent setting this holiday season for the N.C. Chinese Lantern Festival. This affordable, family friendly cultural experience features ALL-NEW lanterns and runs through January 13, 2019.
Lanterns are hand-crafted by visiting Chinese artisans and glow with thousands of LED that illuminate our winter nights. Guests won’t want to miss the spectacular 200-foot Floating Dragon on Symphony Lake. Bring your family as festival admission includes Chinese cultural performances, martial arts, acrobatics, contortion, as well as artisan craft-making.
Cultural performances take place on stage several times throughout the evening, weather permitting.

"Any Night" tickets are available for your holiday gift-giving.
The event takes place rain or shine with the exception of extreme weather conditions. The Town of Cary will make a public announcement of closure in those instances.
Parking is free of charge in venue-owned lots.
Venue Concession Stands will be open selling a variety of food, beverages and holiday treats. Food trucks are regularly scheduled throughout the week/weekends. Check social media for our schedule.
