Description
Rangadevi Hernandez has been a committed vegetarian for 20 years now. She gained an appreciation for international cuisines from her mother, who regularly made home cooked meals and was not afraid to experiment with the family's dinners. Her brother is a graduate of Johnson & Wales and currently manages a restaurant in Charlotte, NC. Being the only vegetarian in the family Rangadevi began to cook for herself, and soon discovered the joy of creating new and exciting dishes to share with loved ones. Later in her nine-year tenure at the New Goloka Krishna temple, Rangadevi learned much about both Indian cooking and the principle of conscious cooking. She has also worked at the Health Center of Hillsborough for three years, where she has intensified her passion for nutrition and prevention of disease through food. Today she shares the fruits of her studies through Govinda's Catering, where she creates healthy, sumptuous meals that appeal to a wide spectrum of taste buds. Her meals are largely gluten-free and vegan, thus making them safe and tasty for nearly everyone.
