David Batchelor began his BBQ career in 1968. Since that time he has done nothing but strive to offer the best bbq, fried chicken, and seafood as well as many other offerings to his loyal customers. Most of all David has built a very large following over the years and enjoys meeting as many of his customers as possible.
As Carolina Barbecue David expanded the menu to include other country cooking favorites such as Beef Tips and Chicken Pastry. One of the weekly favorites is a specialty of Carolina Barbecue -- Beef Ribs!! Every Friday there is always a chance that we will sell out. They are just that popular!!
Listening to David talk about his past in Wilson, one can appreciate the level of commitment and insight that he offers his staff to inspire them to continue his vision of serving high quality food at a reasonable price; and most importantly served with a smile! As David says, "It doesn't cost anything to be nice!!"
When you dine with Carolina Barbecue we hope that you feel at home, and are able to relax in our easy-going atmosphere, or if you are in a hurry just step to the side of the building and get it to go.
When you see the little red pig Squiggly, just remember that we aren't some fast-food, corporate bbq chain. We have years of passion and many, many long hours of hard work behind our brand of Carolina Barbecue. And on those days you can't decide where to eat, just remember this...
